Hello from Salvador

It has been very quiet here at Salvador, since I started my vacations I've been doing only one thing: absolutely nothing!!! With a beach like that what did you expect?!

I've been saving myself for next week, that's when my real vacations start!
Next week I'm planing to go to Natal a visit Roland and Tinne. After that maybe Fortaleza and meet Tarcy (that's if I can reach her in time!!!) and then Rio de Janeiro to meet David! Hopefully Joana and Otto are still there and I can meet all of them there!

For now I just keep relaxing here, maybe tomorrow I'll go to Carnaval with my Mom and cousin if I have the courage :-)

Catch you later, or you catch me if you can :-P

"Noroc"

Bucharest was a unique experience to say the least.
First of all I have to thank Bernardo because this was all his idea and the trip was actually his birthday present to me.
Pedro also joined and so the crazy Portuguese guys had a great weekend in Bucharest plus Bernardo's Romanian friends, Diana and Sebastian and consequently all their friends.

I could relate a lot with Romania. To start with, a lot of Romanian words are identical to Portuguese, really amazing! Other words are not that similar like Noroc for example which means Cheers! People are extremely nice there (at least most of the people I've met) and the food is just great!
Also Bucharest reminded me of Lisbon a lot, the weather was amazing (17 degrees when it was supposed to be snowing!), the traffic is chaotic and the clubs close really late.
Speaking of clubs, apparently Bucharest is the capital of minimal electro and progressive house, which I'm now a big fan :-)
Lots of international DJs are invited to play in local clubs which have great sound systems and some are quite big indeed! Kristal was probably my favorite.

Once again I thank Bernardo for this weekend and of course our Romanian friends for being such splendid hosts and for providing us with an unforgettable weekend. I hope I'll have the chance to pay them back although after this weekend they must think that Portuguese people are crazy and probably I won't hear from them for while :-)

Let it snow...

It's finally snowing in Amsterdam! Not that I'm really happy about it (it's freezing cold, even at the office!!!) but I was getting worried!
Temperatures have been pretty high for this time of the year and 2006 was the warmest year since 1706, can you believe that?

At least now were back to some normality, it's very cold (brrrr!!) and it's snowing and now I'm really glad I'm going to Brazil, I guess I chose the best time to go on vacations but one thing at a time - first Bucharest.
I'm leaving tomorrow, just I checked the weather there, it's not that bad actually, at least it's not snowing!

Tonight dinner is at Aline's place, a bit of French cuisine once in a while doesn't harm anybody :-)

2 days

Maybe I'm really getting old, or maybe not, but each time I think back to the things that I still want to do, visit or achieve and what I've really accomplished there's still a big gap between them.

So this year - and now that I'm 30 - I've decided that I'm doing something about it.
One of the things that I really want to do is travel and see a lot of places that I still haven't seen.

This week I'm going to Bucharest and next week to Brazil to visit my parents - which isn't that bad - but I want more. I want to keep it like this for a while, travel a lot, see different places!

So I've decided that I still have to go to Portugal and make a huge party with all my friends from Portugal, visit Nuno in Scotland, finally go to Prague, back to Poland, Budapest for the Sziget Festival and now I'm looking for more suggestions, places that I've never been like Australia, India, Tokyo, Vietnam, Peru, Iceland, the options are immense, I just need some tips, what do you think?

I don't know where I will find time and/or money for all this but if I don't set some goals I know that I'll never do it, and sometimes it's nice to dream.

Lets just hope that all this is not just bullshit because it's like we say in Portugal "Life is 2 days and Carnival 3"

You got the picture right? Life is too short and I'm realizing it as I grow old and I have to make something about it because 2 days is really nothing...

What a ride!

My good old friends left. I promised them the ride of their lives and I know that at least they won't forget this one very soon.
In the meanwhile there was my birthday - a big part of that ride.
The party was great thanks to Vitor, Robert and Tinne for organizing this celebration and all my other friends that were on my party of course.

Unfortunately I can't celebrate all my birthdays like this but I thought that at least one day I would feel like I'm the king of the world! So what better day than the celebration of my 30th birthday? :-)

First I was in a fancy restaurant with most of my close friends there having dinner with me (priceless!), took a state-of-the-art limousine for a ride and went on a raid of clubs and went back to the restaurant, which happens to be a club as well, and carried on with the after-party at my place - by the way, I don't think that my neighbors like me anymore!

David, Claudio, Hugo and Ricardo are now back in Portugal (Finally!!! Nothing personal guys but I don't think that my body could handle another day!!) and now I'm back to work, back to reality!

I've entered a new phase of my life, I'm getting older (but wiser not really!) I have to start being more responsible, maybe buy a house get married and have children, but even if it happens I promise that I will make my best and not stop having fun! And I'm not talking about limos (I wish I could...) but spending times with the people I love, can't have much more fun than that!

Enough of that! Now I'm planning my vacations, I'm might be going to Brazil in time for Carnaval! Finally I'm going to see my parents, they will kill me if I say I'm not going!
Also Roland and Tinne are there - they flew right after my party! I might be joining them in their amazing spot in Natal! I'm dying for it!! :-)
